Recently, we’ve seen a lot of media and marketing about A.I. writing tools like Jasper AI and ChatGPT. I literally can’t get on Instagram without seeing an ad for one of these tools. Much of the marketing is along the lines of “hate writing blogs and other content? We’ve got the answer.” As someone who relies on writing blogs and other content to make money, I’ve been apprehensive about these technologies putting me out of business. Recently I was looking at some job postings on LinkedIn. As I read through all of the job descriptions, I was reminded of just how much I hate applying for jobs.
Why?
Because almost every job posting is filled with
industry jargon,
confusing or unclear language
a laundry list of requirements that seem almost impossible to meet
Being around other people helped me to gain a better understanding of myself and my strengths. I almost forgot that I am able to talk to almost anyone. But the truth is that my friendliness didn’t come naturally to me. In a lot of ways, it was a learned behavior.
